Dumbbell Scaption (+Single Leg)
Babywearing Option: Front or back carry would be appropriate for this movement.
Points of Performance:
1. Start in a mini squat with the arms by your side.
2. Lift the dumbbells up at a 45 degree angle to shoulder level, focusing on keeping the ribs stacked over the pelvis, and the back flat.
3. Avoid using momentum to lift the weights. If you cannot, decrease the weight or increase the rest between sets.
4. Pull the shoulders back as you lift; there may be a tendency to hike the shoulders up towards the ears, or flare in the ribs.
