Welcome to Week 4 of the Postpartum Return to Running Program!
This week continues to the progression of squats and deadlifts, and adding in the ball taps to start prepping for running. Continue to monitor symptoms during the ball taps, and take note of alignment, breathing, and number of reps before you feel symptoms (if any).
Here are the symptoms and tendencies to watch for:
- Leaking urine
- Pelvic or vaginal pain, pressure, discomfort
- Pain and discomfort
- Coning of the abdomen
- Flaring or thrusting of the ribs
- Breath holding during movement
- Fatigue, dizziness, increased heart rate (unable to hold a conversation)
